In 2018 ,Travis Rovillo will begin his 3rd year with the Daytona State College Men’s staff as the Falcon’s Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach.  Coach Rovillo has played a vital role in the soccer programs over-all success the last 2 seasons.  Some of the notable success includes winning the 2016 Region 8 title, Southeast District title and finishing 7th at the NJCAA National Tournament.  The program has had back-to-back co-regular season championships and reached as high as #2 in the country in 2017. Rovillo has been responsible for over seeing the goalkeeper training, strength training, study program and recruiting.  Coach Travis has coached 2 different goalkeepers that have achieved All-Region honors.  The strength and conditioning programs he has designed are transcending to the modern soccer player.  Furthermore, he has guided the 2017 sophomore class in achieving a 3.2 GPA by his rigorous study programs.       

Coach Rovillo comes to Daytona State after spending the past two seasons coaching at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.

In 2014, Rovillo served as the Assistant Coach and helped the Pioneers to an 11-6-1 record. In 2015, Rovillo was named Associate Head Coach. In his tenure at Wayland Baptist University, Rovillo helped produce 2 first Team All-Americans, 2 First Team All-Conference, and 3 Second Team All-Conference players.

Coach Rovillo graduated from Wayland Baptist University where he was a two-year starter and captain for the WBU soccer team. Before arriving at Wayland, Coach Rovillo played two years at Darton State College in Albany, GA., where he was also team captain.

Coach Rovillo earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Wayland Baptist University. After graduating, Rovillo went on to obtain his Master’s of Education in Sports Administration and Management from Wayland.

A native of Titusville, Florida, Coach Rovillo played his prep ball at Astronaut High School as a four-year starter and captain while playing club ball in Miami, FL., for FUTSOC.
