The Daytona State College men's soccer team faced off against the Miami Dade Sharks at home in their first Region 8 match of the season.
Playing for the first time ever, the Falcons outshot the Sharks 21 to 8 with the Falcons and Sharks ultimately sharing the points today in the thrilling 2-2 match at Daytona State College.
The Sharks would take the lead in the first half in the 13th minute, only to double their lead in the 28th minute of the game. With two minutes left in the half, freshmen midfielder, Bismark Ayamba, would reinvigorate the Falcons with a long-range strike to send the Falcons 1-2 into half time.
In the second half, the Falcons would continue to outshoot their opponent, hitting the post on a couple of occasions before Josue Youta was able to find the game tying goal with 15 minutes left in the match.
The Falcons will head to Melbourne, Florida on Saturday to meet Region 8 opponent, Eastern Florida State College for a 7pm kickoff.
