Falcons Ranked #1 in Week 1 Poll

Daytona State took seven first place votes to grab the #1 spot in last week's USTFCCCA coaches poll.  This is the first time in program history that the Falcons have been picked for the top spot.  The Falcons stood out after placing 25th out of 50 teams at the Southern Showcase which featured mostly NCAA Division 1 teams.  In 2021, the Falcons were ranked twice at #2 and ended up the NJCAA Division 2 team runner up in Richmond, VA, site of this year's national race.  

Led by sophomores Evan Casterline and Joel Jean, the Falcons move on this week to the Pre Regional at Florida State University this Friday to compete in a field deep with NCAA Division 1 competition as well.  The Falcons look to improve upon their team and individual performances from the Southern Showcase.
