Game Recap:
Pasco-Hernando took an early lead in the 1st inning, scoring their only run of the game. Daytona State quickly responded with 2 runs from the help of Azlynn Gomes and Morgan Davis' RBI's in the bottom of the 1st inning, setting the tone for the rest of the game. In the 2nd inning the Falcons brought out the barrels with a 6-run rally. RBI's came from Aurielle Reavis, Alexa Edmands, Morgan Davis, and Kennedy Carr. By the end of the inning, Daytona State was ahead 8-1. The offensive streak continued in the 3rd, with Daytona State adding four more runs on the board, with contributions came from Gabby Giugliano, Alexa Edmands, and Azlynn Gomes. The Falcons pitching and defense held strong, preventing Pasco-Hernando from scoring for the remainder of the game. Daytona State only committed one error, and the pitching staff had a strong showing on the mound.
Ava Unser pitched four innings, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out three and walking two. Alexis Miranda came in for one inning of relief, only gave up one hit and no runs. The game concluded after 5 innings with a final score of 12-1.
In Game two, Daytona State took an early lead in the first inning with a run, while Pasco-Hernando was held scoreless. The game remained tight with no additional runs scored until the sixth inning when Daytona State added two more runs to their tally. Pasco-Hernando managed to score their only run in the seventh inning but couldn't overcome the Falcons. Daytona State's offensive leader was Logan Ringel, who went 3-for-3 and scored two runs. Kaili Cannon and Kennedy Carr each contributed an RBI to help secure the win. Kaylee Martineau was dominant in the circle. Taking a perfect game into the seventh inning before a mishit turned into an infield single. She earning her second win of the season amd kept Pasco-Hernando limited to just one hit and one run.
