DSC fell twice in conference play at Miami Dade
Game 1: RV Miami Dade 3, Daytona State 0
Miami Dade struck first in the opening inning when Alyssa Densmore singled to bring home Ebba Sofia Eriksson for a 1-0 lead. The Sharks added to their advantage in the second after Caroline Mito grounded out to second base, driving in Maria Julia Pedroso to make it 2-0.
The Falcons had opportunities throughout the game, drawing four walks and placing runners on base in multiple innings, but were unable to deliver the timely hit. Miami Dade pushed its final run across in the fifth when Leyani Viruet was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, extending the lead to 3-0.
Daytona State finished with three hits and stranded eight runners, while Miami Dade collected five hits and capitalized on key scoring chances to secure the conference win.

Pitching Performance
Ava Unser went the distance in the circle, throwing six innings while allowing three earned runs on five hits. She struck out 10 and walked four. Unser threw 132 pitches to keep the Falcons within reach, but Miami Dade's timely execution proved to be the difference.
Game 2: RV Miami Dade 9, Daytona State 4
Daytona State dropped the series on the road, falling 9-4 in game 2 to Miami Dade College in conference play.
The Sharks opened the scoring in the first when Alyssa Densmore singled to center to score Caroline Mito for a 1-0 lead. The Sharks added another in the second on an RBI single by Mito, extending the advantage to 2-0.
The Falcons answered in the third. Azlynn Gomes delivered a two-RBI single to center, scoring Gabby Giugliano and Riley Makousky to tie the game at 2-2. Miami Dade quickly responded in the bottom half, capitalizing on an error, a stolen base, and a wild pitch to plate three runs and regain control, 5-2.
Daytona State continued to battle in the fourth. Giugliano came through with a two-RBI double to left, bringing home Nyree James and Maggie Castaneda to cut the deficit to 5-4.
However, the Sharks pulled away in the fifth inning. Savannah Barlow drove in two with a single, and Mito added a two-RBI single to cap a four-run frame, pushing the lead to 9-4. Daytona State was unable to mount another rally over the final two innings.
The Falcons finished with 10 hits but left six runners on base, while Miami Dade collected 14 hits and capitalized on key momentum swings in the middle innings.
