Four Falcons Earn FCSAA All-Citrus Conference Honors
Daytona State College women’s basketball added more hardware to a historic season as Jaeden Williams, Lamiyah Hogans, and Catalina Roco were named to the FCSAA All–Citrus Conference First Team, while Calise Chisholm earned Second Team All–Citrus Conference honors. In addition, Head Coach Russ Jackson was selected as the FCSAA Citrus Conference Coach of the Year after guiding the Falcons to a 24–4 overall record and the Citrus Conference regular-season championship.
Sophomore guard Catalina Roco has been the Falcons’ perimeter sniper and a momentum-changer in big moments. She has several standout scoring nights in Citrus play, including 21 points with 5 made threes at Miami Dade and 23 points in a key win over St. Petersburg. Earlier in the semester, she also dropped 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting at Hillsborough and has repeatedly hit timely threes to stretch defenses. Roco is among Daytona’ State’s leading scorers and is currently ranked 3rd in the nation for three-point percentage. She adds value as a playmaker, giving Daytona State a versatile guard who can change the game from beyond the arc.
Freshman guard Lamiyah Hogans has been one of the league’s most dangerous scorers. She has turned in multiple 20+ point outings in conference play, including 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting against St. Petersburg and 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting with 4 threes in a home win over Florida SouthWestern. Hogans also poured in 23 points on the road at Eastern Florida and routinely stuffs the stat sheet with rebounds, assists, and steals. She leads the team in points per game and is a go-to option in late-game situations, constantly putting pressure on opposing defenses.
Freshman guard Jaeden Williams has been the Falcons’ engine this season, impacting every column of the box score. She has posted multiple double-doubles and was one rebound shy of a triple-double with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists in a 100–79 win at Miami Dade. Williams also delivered 15 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals on Sophomore Night against Hillsborough and leads the team in assists. Her ability to control tempo, find teammates, and finish plays makes her one of the most complete guards in the Citrus Conference.
Sophomore forward Calise Chisholm anchors the Falcons in the paint with her rebounding and efficiency around the rim. She has recorded multiple double-doubles, including 12 points and 11 rebounds at Santa Fe and 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting with 11 rebounds in a road win at Hillsborough. Chisholm leads the team in rebounds and field-goal percentage, providing second-chance points on the offensive glass and toughness defensively. Her presence inside has been a key reason Daytona State controls the boards and sets the physical tone in Citrus Conference play.
With three first-team selections, one second-team honoree, and the Coach of the Year award, Daytona State’s showing on the FCSAA Citrus Conference awards list displays just how special this regular season has been and sets the stage for an exciting postseason run.
