Falcons Dominate on the Road in 88–49 Win at Santa Fe
Daytona State College put together a dominant road performance Wednesday night, rolling past Santa Fe College 88–49 in Gainesville. The Falcons led by just one after the first quarter, but clamped down defensively and held Santa Fe to single digits in both the second and third quarters to take control of the game. By the time the fourth quarter arrived, Daytona State had built a comfortable margin and kept Santa Fe at arm’s length the rest of the way.
The Falcons’ balance and shooting were on full display, with 12 made threes and 19 assists as a team. Catalina Roco led all scorers with 18 points on just 7-of-11 shooting and knocked down 4 threes. Jayda Scorza added 13 points and 5 rebounds in an efficient outing, while Yali Levy chipped in 11 points, including three shots from beyond the arc. In the starting group, Lamiyah Hogans finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds, and Jaeden Williams contributed 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists while steadying the offense.
Daytona State also owned the glass and the hustle plays, finishing with 40 rebounds and 14 steals as multiple players made their mark in different ways. Khalise Vidal filled the stat sheet with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals, Calise Chisholm added 6 points and 5 boards, and Corrin Austell and Kendall Ruise provided quality minutes and timely threes off the bench. From start to finish, the Falcons’ depth, pressure, and unselfish play set the tone in an impressive road win to continue their strong start to 2026.
The Falcons move to 11-2 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. They will play their next conference game on Saturday, January 10th, traveling to St. Petersburg College.
