Lucia Guemes Named NJCAA All-American
Daytona Beach, FL – Sophomore, Lucia Guemes of the 2022 NJCAA Division I Daytona State College Falcons women’s soccer team was named as a 2022 NJCAA All-American.
Guemes is the second Falcon in the last two years to take home this honor after helping lead the Falcons to a final National ranking of #16 and a Region 8 Finals.
A member of Spanish U17 National Team, Guemes had a terrific career for the Falcons. She earned the Region 8 Goalkeeper of the Year honor for the second straight year and was named NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week during the 2022 season. She is a two-time Region 8 First Team recipient. Guemes had a 1.06 GAA and .808 save percentage her sophomore year while posting 8 shutouts for the Falcons. Guemes is currently ranked 16th in the nation for save percentage.
Guemes has signed a commitment letter to Division 1, University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), to continue her playing and academic career.
