Falcon Volleyball Scores Two Talented Early Commitments

Haley Jensen and Delaney Freeman both selected Daytona State College to launch their collegiate academic and volleyball careers in fall 2015. 

Jensen, a senior at University High School, immediately connected with Coach Stegall and the Falcon Program.  As a 5’9” outside hitter, Jensen exhibits strong ball control skills along with an explosive vertical and strong arm swing.  Coach Stegall sees a tremendous amount of athletic talent and potential in Jensen and is eager to coach this local talent.  In addition to playing for the Titans of University High School, Jensen has advanced her talents in the past six years playing for various club programs in the area.

Freeman, is a senior at New Smyrna Beach High School, and has been on Coach Stegall’s radar for some time.  After seeing her compete at a camp last summer, Coach Stegall reached out to Freeman hoping that she would consider Daytona State College.  This 5’5” libero is a passionate competitor.  She has played indoor volleyball for seven years, five of which were with the prestigious Orlando Volleyball Academy.  In addition to being a phenomenal indoor player, Freeman is a talented beach player, qualifying for AAU Nationals the past five years.  Freeman has been recognized by her teammates as being both the Best Defensive Player and Defensive MVP.

Coach Stegall remarked on the recent commitments of Jensen and Freeman.

This athletic duo provides the Falcons with an impressive start to their 2015 recruiting class.
