Lund Named FCSAA Female Scholar Athlete of the Year
Daytona Beach, FL- Daytona State volleyball standout Leia Lund has been named the FCSAA Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, one of the highest honors in the Florida College System. The award recognizes her outstanding success both on the court and in the classroom over the past two years.
Lund, a two-year starter and key contributor to the Falcons’ success, has earned numerous athletic accolades while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her dedication, leadership, and work ethic have set the standard for what it means to be a Daytona State student-athlete.
“Leia has put everything she has into these last two years at Daytona State—on the court, in the classroom, and in our program,” said Head Coach Laura Booker Anderson. “Her hard work has truly paid off, and she is so deserving of this award. I couldn’t be more proud.”
In addition to this honor, Lund has previously been recognized with the Roberta Stokes Student-Athlete Award and several all-conference and all-state selections. She leaves a lasting legacy as one of the top student-athletes to come through the program.
