Meade Earns Region 8 Honors

Sophomore Giovana Meade was honored with Runner of the Week from FCSAA Region 8 for her performance at the Florida State Invitational on September 29th at Apalachee Regional Park.  Meade finished 40th in a field of over 300 runners, and was the top NJCAA runner to cross the finish line.  Her time of 18:39 is one of the top times for NJCAA Division II cross country.  She led the Falcons to a 20th place finish out of 35 teams, mostly NCAA Divison I and II schools.  Meade has seen a drastic improvement from her freshman year, running more than a 90 seconds faster than in 2022 for the 5000 meter distance.
