Women's Cross Country Ranked #17 in Week 1

Week 1 of the USTFCCCA poll ranks the Falcons 17th in the country after the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, AL last week.  The team is currently the second highest ranked team in Region 8, but expectations are high going into this weekend's Pre Regional meet at Florida State University.  "At the Southern Showcase meet, we had one of our top runners fall and then did not finish, and two more of our top five were pretty sick that morning, so we are hoping for a tight pack of five to six runners this weekend", commented Coach Judy Wilson.  The Falcons have had a solid training week and are looking to move up in the rankings next week.  "I think we can get this team into the top 10 in the country, and going after the Region title is always the goal." said Wilson.
