Falcons Run to the Border

Women's Cross Country heads to the Border Clash this Friday, hosted by Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia.  Thirteen teams will line up for the 5000 meter race, including six junior colleges.  The Falcons will run against Gulf Coast Community College, Chipola, and College of Central Florida from Region 8.  It will be a good test to see how the Falcons stack up in the region.  The team is coming off of a solid performance last weekend at the Florida Intercollegiate meet where they were the top junior college team in the field.  Freshman Emma Turner led the Falcons, and the team will be looking to close up their #1 to #5 runner gap.  Location of the meet is Freedom Park at 3795 Guest Rd, Valsdosta.  Race time is 6:15pm for the women's 5k.  The Falcon men are training through the weekend and will prepare for the Embry Riddle Invitational on September 13th.
