Women's Cross Country is set to compete at the NJCAA Division II Cross Country Championships Saturday in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The women's team is ranked 5th going into the meet, behind Muskegon who they beat in mid October. Freshman Emma Turner leads the team with a second place at the Region 8 championship two weeks ago. Not far behind is former Daytona State soccer player turned runner Brianna Crawford. Crawford has been instrumental in the team's success this year. Her improvement from last year has been pivotal. Rounding out the Falcon line up, sophomores Tiffany Cox, Maya Horel, and Cheyenne Hulsey will join freshmen Kennedy Flores, Kyleigh Halloran and Jennifer Gonzalez, this group will attempt to finish the highest any Falcon women's team has ever before at the National meet. "This is our fastest group we have ever had going into a national championship. They are very prepared and ready for this challenge. I'm excited for them all," commented Coach Judy Wilson.
