Lady Falcon Volleyball Assists with Food Brings Hope

Daytona State Women's Volleyball team provided services to a wonderful cause in the Daytona Beach community on Friday, December 6th. The Lady Falcons volunteered with Food Brings Hope to provide meals to the youth in Daytona Beach.

Food Brings Hope along with Sodexo Food Services provides meals for over 350 Volusia County Children each year. This year the Lady Falcon's Volleyball team helped Sodexo serve food to these children. Throughout the evening, the Daytona State Volleyball team assisted the Daytona State College cafeteria staff in feeding the children, socializing with Volusia County youth, and providing clean up at the end of the evening.

Carrie Dibble, Daytona State College Food Serve Director, spoke of the Falcon Volleyball team, "I already knew the volleyball team was great, but it was apparent Friday night that they are simply exceptional. They were willing to do anything until the job was done. They were just completely impressive in every way."
The Women's Volleyball team embraced the opportunity to give to the community and make a difference in a child's night.
