Bio
Originally from Venezuela, Zapata moved to the U.S. during his sophomore year of high school. During childhood, soccer was his main sport but he did run on his own for pleasure. Sophomore year marked the beginning of his competitive running career and from there he has accomplished many personal records in distances ranging from the 800 meters to the 5K and has fallen in love with the sport. Pedro sought out Coach Wilson as he saw the success the team experienced in 2020 and saw his potential to be a winner both individually and as a team here at DSC.
